Bentley Supersports 'Ice Speed Record' Convertible
Last week we brought you news of a new Bentley Limited Edition – the Bentley Supersports ‘Ice Speed Record’ Convertible – and now Bentley catch up with the story too. It looks like most of our information was accurate, but Bentley has changed their minds – or we got steered in the wrong direction – as the exterior treatment has changed a bit from the last story. On the power front – rather the point when it comes to Bentley Supersports – the Bentley Supersports ISR’s 6.0 litre W12 gets 631bhp and 590lb/ft of torque, and runs on anything up to E85 fuel.

China is a huge car market for premium brand, so with the Beijing Motor Show on the way we’ll no doubt be seeing a raft of China Specials revealed as car makers seek to appeal to China’s still deep-pocketed buyers. Cars like the Ferrari 458 Italia China Special Edition, Audi R8 China Edition, Porsche 911 Turbo S China 10th Anniversary Edition and Aston Martin’s ‘Dragon 88′ special editions of the DBS Volante, Virage Coupe and V8 Vantage S Coupe are just a few of the China Specials Western car makers have bolted together to tempt the Chinese to part with their cash. Now we have another with the BMW 7-Series Horse Edition, which might sound like a special edition Land Rover Discovery but which is in fact a titivated 7-Series to celebrate the Year of the Horse.
I’m not too sure it will help much with sales at the moment, but it has been announced that Aston Martin are to become the first company to use Microsoft’s Surface Device in UK Car showrooms. The Surface device is in essence a glitzy coffee table, with a built in PC running the new software from Microsoft. Based on the software Aston Martin currently uses on its website, the device allows the salesman to configure the car on a coffee table screen, with changes of colour and wheels showing on the screen.
